Picking & Plucking Hair from Your Nose? Remember the Danger Triangle of the Face

Almost everyone likes going into their noses. You do it with that index finger isn’t it? But there’s something called the “danger triangle of the face” — the triangle between your nose and mouth.
The danger triangle of the face consists of the area from the corners of the mouth to the bridge of the nose, including the nose and maxilla. Due to the special nature of the blood supply to the human nose and surrounding area, it is possible for retrograde infections from the nasal area to spread to the brain causing cavernous sinus thrombosismeningitis or brain abscess.
If you go in there and pull that hair out, you get a little blood lost in there. Blood allows the bacteria in your nose to grow in there. Since veins in the facial area lack protective valves, the bacteria could theoretically enter your bloodstream and lead to infections elsewhere in the body.

According to Dr. an otolaryngologist (meaning he treats diseases and disorders related to the ear, nose, and throat) at New York University. He described what’s going on in your nose with the hairs that filter out all the stuff you breath in every day.
There are two kinds of nose hairs that are key here:
  • the ones you can see and want to pluck, called the vibrissae, and;
  • the microscopic cilia, which are responsible for filtering mucus and moving it to the back of the nose, where it can go into the stomach.
The vibrissae, which hang out near the front, are responsible for keeping some of the larger particles from making it that far. If you pluck those hairs, germs and particles near the follicles can get inside and cause an infection.
Removing hair from your body in any way can cause serious illness, infection, inflammation, parasites, and even death. This is because the skin has a temper, and when you do any of these actions to the damage the skin in your nose fills with blood, which is the perfect environment for parasites, bacteria and fungi, Ameba that nests in the hair can grow very quickly and will be wired into the brain. This will destroy the nerves and tissues and can cause serious illness and even death.
If you have a grandpa-like hair coming out of your nostrils, snip it with curve-tipped scissors, with no sharp edges, or a grooming device. Do not pull the hair, instead, consider trimming it.
